Printing and CroppingTips

Most images are shown in a 4x6 or 6x4 aspect ratio.  Other size ratios require cropping.  Default cropping will be centered on the image.  For better results, before checking out, click on the "Preview and Configure" link to adjust the cropped area to best suit your selections for each image.  If you slide or adjust the "Center" crop, it automatically changes to "Manual".  You can also crop in on photos if you desire a tighter zoomed in perspective in the "Manual" crop mode by dragging in the crop box.  The "Fit" option will print the entire image within the size chosen, along with resulting white borders on 2 sides to fill in from a 4x6 aspect ratio to the chosen print size.  Please click to view this option before choosing so you can see how much extra white will be added.  This choice is good if you want to ensure the entire image is printed, but the size may be problematic for standard frame sizes if you do not wish to see the additional white border.  The "Fit" option might save you a lot of money in framing though.  You can also choose these options before paying at check-out.

There are many print sizes available besides the "Featured Products" shown.  Click on the "View All Products" button below the last featured product and see many more sizes along with Memorabilia, Specialty Items, Greeting Crads, Wall Mounts, and more.  If you cannot see these products, select a photo from a gallery first, then all of the different products should be available for choosing.

Framing and Foam or cardboard backing are also available.  Adding a backing board can greatly help reduce your custom framing costs should you wish to frame any photos for wall mounting.  Click the "Add a Frame or Mounting" link during your order process to choose these features.

I use a color corrected monitor for photo editing at home, so the "Color Correction" option of you prints is soley your choice.  Either way the images should be accurately colored.

Any watermark seen on the website does not show on prints.  It is only for copyright protection on website photos.

If you have any problems with any phase of ordering, please let me know and I will see what I can do to help.  I want your experience with sjmiller Photography to be the best it can possibly be, and will do everything I can to make it so.  In some cases, I could even possibly upload a different cropped file to suit your printing desires.
